The owner will be delighted to tell you all about the works he has done, show you his restorations, make you admire the drawings of his gardens. He will also tell you that you will soon be able to meditate into this lovely chapel and its garden of cure… which are being fully repaired.

The delicious "breakfast"
Breakfast is served on a table covered with old flax, elegantly furnished with earthenware and refined glasses. The smell of ancient roses on the table delicately caresses your nostrils. Your host will suggest you to have tasty homemade jams which will be accompanied, during your stay, by “mignardises” and delicacies cooked as in the old time, cakes and tartes reminding you of old flavours for the sweetest awakening of your palate. But also you will have coffee, tea…farmhouse bread, brioche…and homemade fruit juice.

The drawing room
A place where one can relax and if one wishes listen to classical music while idling about, or reading or meditating. It is also the perfect place to have a cup of tea or coffee.

Around the domain

A tour round “brocantes”
Well-informed or amateur, professional or not, you have the possibility of visiting, every afternoon during the week, secondhand shops and antique dealers’ stores in Charente, Charente Maritime and Gironde. At weekends in the morning, you have also the opportunity to stroll in flea markets in Charente Maritime (Haute Saintonge). To fully take advantage of such a tour, it is preferable (but you do not have to) that you stay at least three nights in the region Poitou-Charentes. The owner is perfectly disposed to be your guide and advise you on your purchases. If such is you wish, please tell him while booking.
